Our Story
I grew up a farmer's daughter and my husband worked for local farmers. We both come from families that had large gardens and spent many summers snapping beans, pulling weeds, and doing all things farm life. After having three children and living in town for nine years, we had a strong desire to move back to the country. When our youngest daughter turned one, we had the opportunity to buy a 1910 foursquare farmhouse on 10 acres. We instantly fell in love.
What began as a dream of returning to our rural roots quickly grew into something even more meaningful. We started developing our flower farm, planting fields filled with blooms and building a greenhouse where we grow both fresh flowers and seasonal produce. Every season has brought new opportunities to learn, grow, and share the beauty of farm life with others.
Most recently, we opened our little flower shop, where visitors can stop by to purchase fresh-cut bouquets, locally grown flowers, and thoughtfully selected merchandise. Whether you're looking for a bouquet to brighten your home, a special gift, or simply want to enjoy a peaceful visit to the farm, we love welcoming our community.
As we look to the future, we are excited to continue expanding our flower farm, offering even more varieties of blooms, creating memorable on-farm experiences and events, and finding new ways to connect with our community. Our hope is that every visit to our farm brings a little more beauty, joy, and appreciation for the simple things in life.

Meet Our Team
I’m the gal behind the flowers. I’ve had a garden for many years with just a sprinkling of blooms, and now I’m finally making my dream come true by starting a flower farm. I’m learning as I go, and it has become my happy place. I’m a kindergarten teacher by day, so my quiet moments planting and being among the flowers fill my soul. I’d love to help others find joy here as well.
Isabella manages the website, social media, and marketing while helping develop new ideas and helping wherever she is needed. Isabella graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in Event Management. With a passion for creating memorable experiences, she loves planning events and is excited to help grow and host future events at M & H Johnson Farms.

Haley helps with marketing, social media, and bringing creative ideas to life for M & H Johnson Farms. She's excited to help plan and host future events on the farm. As a busy mom of two with another little one on the way, Haley loves spending time at Gigi and Papa's farm, where she and her little helpers enjoy lending a hand in the flower fields.
